The content below is for educational purposes only. Upness LLC provides this information to offer an understanding of the possible benefits and applications of CBD and other cannabinoids.

Forgetting a key point in a proposal at work. Performing poorly during a job interview. Being disorganized for a class presentation. Losing your train of thought giving a speech.

For many people, these and other types of public speaking mistakes are typically due to anxiety, no matter how much preparation, organization, and practice they had.

Instead of turning to medications from the doctor or pharmacy, more and more people are turning to CBD for help with public speaking jitters.

How CBD Helps with Anxiety

Evidence points to its ability to regulate your brain’s serotonin levels. A higher level of this “happy hormone” helps you feel more at ease.

When relaxed, you’re able to think more clearly and have fewer jitters, which can lead to a better performance.

Broad Spectrum Means No Worries

For the best results to help ease anxiety, broad spectrum CBD is your best choice for several reasons:

Packed with all beneficial cannabinoids except THC

With only trace THC, there’s no risk of getting “high”

CBD is even more effective combined with other cannabinoids (entourage effect)

Chock-full of vitamins and other nutrients to help keep you at your best

Salve vs. Oil

Both can be effective in helping reduce mild stress and anxiety, yet there are several differences to consider.

First, CBD oil is generally consumed as a tincture placed in drops under your tongue. A salve, on the other hand, is applied directly to the skin at or near a problem area.

As a result, the effects happen at different times. A tincture may take up to an hour for any effect because it has to go through multiple stages of digestion and absorption. However, a topical application like a salve may take effect within minutes because it absorbs directly into the problem area and doesn’t have to be digested.

If you feel general nervousness and anxiety, then a tincture may suffice, especially if you can afford to wait for the effects to kick in). For muscle tightness in the neck and shoulder area due to stress, then a salve may be the best option because you can feel more at ease and relaxed in minutes.

Don’t Wait Till the Big Day

Regardless of which method you use, make sure not to wait until the big day to try it for the first time.

Try it a couple of times in the days prior, as this will help you find your best dosage and how the CBD affects you, depending on your symptoms.
